Gap Clothing helps fit the bill

by Carolyn Chambers

We all like to dress nice. Well, at least to some extent anyway. My version of dressing well is a new pair of jeans and a clean T-shirt with some Dr Martens. Obvious a lot of men share my taste. Then again, plenty of others have their own thing going on. Now, the question is; where do you go to buy your preferred attire? Are you interested in the sales at the local Wal-Mart, or maybe Gap clothing fits the bill? Fortunately for us, there are numerous clothing venues to pick from. If you wish, you can even use the Internet for all your shopping needs. Most stores and name brands can now be found in cyberspace.

Let's talk Gap clothing. You may not know this, but Gap is part of a trio of clothing venues. Ever heard of Banana Republic or Old Navy? The three of these chains are all united to make one major profit. The way I see it, Old navy is for the more conservative shopper, like myself; Gap is for the trendy folks, who're willing to spend a little more; and Banana Republic is for the fashion nuts, who like to really dress it up, but aren't concerned with the fat price tag. This makes total sense. So whoever came up with this cash-cow knew what they were doing. What a great way to grab people from all walks of life. I suppose if I were going to come out with a clothing line, I would do the same thing.

I was in Gap the other day. As it turned out, they had some sweet cargo pants on sale. I could hardly resist these babies. I dig the extra pockets. We guys like to carry around extra equipment. I need room for the folding knife, the Surefire, and of course my wallet. Or maybe that's just a military thing. Anyway, regardless of what attire you prefer, I'd be willing to bet that Old Navy, Banana Republic or Gap clothing has what you're searching for. From what I've seen, you can find most articles of clothing at a reasonable cost in comparison to department stores, and the quality is high. My suggestion is to shop for Gap clothing at the end of each season. Everything is on sale and inexpensive.

- Why is a clutch purse so darn cute? - I’m a purse freak, and I have one of just about every kind of purse there is. I have so many that my husband threatens to move out just so he can get some closet space. He’s kidding (I hope) but he does have a point. There are just too many purses in my closet and it’s a good thing I’m not into buying designer labels. We may have had to declare bankruptcy if I were. Though I use some of them to some degree, I have only ever used a clutch purse once, even though I own about five of them.
