Why is a clutch purse so darn cute? by Carolyn Chambers I’m a purse freak, and I have one of just about every kind of purse there is. I have so many that my husband threatens to move out just so he can get some closet space. He’s kidding (I hope) but he does have a point. There are just too many purses in my closet and it’s a good thing I’m not into buying designer labels. We may have had to declare bankruptcy if I were. Though I use some of them to some degree, I have only ever used a clutch purse once, even though I own about five of them. Gap Clothing helps fit the bill by Carolyn Chambers We all like to dress nice. Well, at least to some extent anyway. My version of dressing well is a new pair of jeans and a clean T-shirt with some Dr Martens. Obvious a lot of men share my taste. Then again, plenty of others have their own thing going on. Now, the question is; where do you go to buy your preferred attire? Are you interested in the sales at the local Wal-Mart, or maybe Gap clothing fits the bill? Fortunately for us, there are numerous clothing venues to pick from. If you wish, you can even use the Internet for all your shopping needs. Most stores and name brands can now be found in cyberspace. I still use Avon Products today by Carolyn Chambers When I was growing up my mom was an Avon representative. We always bought our makeup, perfume, and sometimes, our jewelry from Avon. I used to go with her on her routes as she delivered her avon products to the little old ladies in the town. I’d be cute and entertaining while they fed me cookies and ooh-ed and ahh-ed over the products in the new catalogue. Because of that Avon has good memories for me today and I still use many the avon products in my beauty routines. The Givenchy label by Carolyn Chambers One of the most successful brands in the world of men's and women's fashion and accessories is the French label, Givenchy. The company was started in 1952 by the renowned designer Hubert de Givenchy. After his retirement, its excellent reputation was later maintained by a series of high profile designers, the first of which was John Galliano. He was followed by Alexander McQueen and then the men's and women's lines were split with Julien McDonald taking responsibility for the women's and Ozwald Boateng heading up the men's range. Then, in 2005, Riccardo Tisci became lead designer for women's wear. |
